Outside Japan, the most popular Japanese computer brands are probably Toshiba and Sony, followed by Fujitsu in some countries (e.g. Hong Kong and parts of Europe… I have a Fujitsu).

But what are the most popular computer brands within Japan?

Based on what I know, a lot of widely-known Japanese companies such as Panasonic, Hitachi and Sharp make computers but don’t sell them outside Japan.

There’s also NEC, which does export its computers but has a very minimal presence in most markets except Japan where it’s said to be a giant.

… So which of these computer brands are market leaders in Japan?
