There is a snack called Hot Nuts I used to buy on my trips to Mexico. I can’t find them anywhere in the U.S. They are symilar to Nobby’s Nuts (a new Frito Lay product). I believe the ones I’m looking for were produced by Barcel. Can anyone help?

09Janmarket research?


I used to be on some kind of calling list and a market research company would call me and invite me to come to taste new menu items for local fast food chains and then pay me $60. It was fantastic, I would get paid to eat a free lunch. I changed numbers and they don’t call anymore, does anyone know of a website where I could sign up for something like that? I know they have this kind of thing all over the US as my mom often does it as well…

When I was a kid, we didn’t get butter often, but sometimes when we went out to eat, I remember how sweet the butter that came with the bread tasted. Now adays, I’m much older, and I’ve tried a few brands of butter. Now of them seem to be sweet as I remember in days of yore. What is your favorite brand of butter? Can you tell me why? 29MayWhat’s the best brand of cookie dough ice cream money can buy?


I’m sick and tired of buying boxes of “cookie dough” ice cream only to find that they have no cookie dough inside! I’d get maybe a dozen small chunks of the good stuff to go along with all that extra vanilla ice cream – which doesn’t taste vanilla-y at all, so says my brother, who tells me it tastes “more like plain”.

So anyway, where can I get my hands on some primo stuff without going to places like Friendly’s or Fuzzy’s (quick shout out to my favorite ice cream stand in Milford, NH!) because I want the convenience of having that ice cream in my house on standby for those midnight cravings.

Ideally the ice cream should have one chunk of real cookie dough and chocolate per 1.5 bites. Price and availability are also concerns. I don’t want to hear about some obscure brand you found in a corner market on the lower streets at Istanbul.

10Maywhat is a good/true brand of olive oil (virgin or extra virgin)? – there are fakes in the market?


What are some true extra/virgin olive oil brands in the market? I’ve heard there are many fake oils with these labels (because the oils sell well…some companies mix olive oil with hazelnut and other oils and put a false label on them). The only way to check is to do a taste test. What are some brands that you have tried that were true to the label?
